Taking Retro to the next level
The Idea
With the release of the new Switch, I reimagined the console as if built from stone and wood. The goal was to turn a modern device into something that felt ancient and enduring.
The Creation
I designed custom textures and staged the Switch in natural environments, pairing weathered materials with sleek hardware to create tension between nature and technology.
The Tools
Blender managed the textures, lighting, and compositing. Curve-based animation paths guided the camera and console for a cinematic reveal.
The Final Product
The animation transforms the Switch into a playful artifact. Familiar yet reworked, it sits between nostalgia and invention.
