Mobility For MUJI

A scooter inspired by MUJI’s focus on use, materials, and color

A pile of discarded electric scooters on the sidewalk in front of restaurants, including Roppolo's Pizzeria and Shakespeare's Pub, with people walking by and storefront signs in the background.

The Idea

Rental scooters often feel overdesigned, with cluttered branding and heavy forms. My goal was to create a version that instead aligns with MUJI through intuitive use, natural materials, and a restrained color palette.

The Creation

I sketched multiple directions, refined proportions, and developed details that emphasized comfort and approachability. These ideas were then built out in CAD to form the final design.

The Tools

I modeled the scooter in Fusion 360 and rendered it in KeyShot, making choices that highlighted function and everyday usability.

The Final Product

A scooter that connects to MUJI not through minimal form, but through simplicity of use and a clear material and color story.
