Wavy Bike Rack

2025

Spring

A modular rack that brings California’s landscape into the showroom

Indoor bike rental shop with multiple bicycles on display, white walls, small high windows, string lights hanging from the ceiling, and an exit sign on the wall.

The Idea

While applying to Ride1Up, I designed a bike rack inspired by California’s rolling hills to give their store a stronger identity.

A piece of wood with a wavy, ribbed design and evenly spaced grooves.

The Creation

I proposed a wavy form built from standard hardware store materials. The design focused on being modular, simple to construct, and cost-effective.

A room with multiple colorful bicycles on a striped bike rack, with bike frames and accessories displayed on the wall and shelves, and a potted plant in the corner.

The Tools

The rack and environment were modeled and rendered in Blender, including a recreated showroom for context.

The Final Product

A modular rack that adds movement and brand character to the space while staying affordable and scalable.
