A playful edit of my cat Dennis with a tracked exclamation mark above his head. A quick experiment that turned his everyday antics into a small piece of animation.
The Idea
Dennis’s sudden head snaps already felt like animation, so I exaggerated one moment with an exclamation mark to match his cartoon-like personality.
The Creation
I motion-tracked his head movements and refined the timing so the icon felt seamlessly attached, enhancing his expression without overshadowing it.
The Tools
Blender’s camera tracking aligned the real footage with virtual space, and the exclamation mark was animated directly to sync frame by frame.
The Final Product
Posted on Instagram as Kitty Alert!, the finished clip highlights Dennis’s unpredictability and humor with a clean, cartoon-style touch.
