Grata Planter
2025
Summer
Generative 3D-printed planters where every piece is unique yet unmistakably part of the same family.
The Idea
Natural forms like bark, coral, and feathers inspired a family of planters that are instantly related yet never the same.
The Creation
Using Blender’s geometry nodes, I introduced controlled randomness to generate distinct variations, each prepared for 3D printing.
The Tools
Blender, PETG filament, and in-house 3D printing combined digital design with hands-on fabrication across four colors.
The Final Product
A collection of unique planters, each with its own rippling pattern, showing how variation thrives within a shared form.
And yes, these are all real pictures :)
